On Sunday, September 10, the adult Sunday School Class will begin a study of one of the most important stories of the Old Testament. We will be utilizing the book "Moses, In the Footsteps of the Reluctant Prophet" by Adam Hamilton, as our guide. Books will be provided. All are welcome to join us at 9:00 am each Sunday in room 14B. Questions? Contact Diane and Bruce Witherspoon or the church office at email@example.com.
The Women's Bible Study group meets on Mondays at 9:30am - 11:00am.
On September 11 the women started a study using the book "Creed: What Christians Believe and Why" by Adam Hamilton that leads to the question, what do I believe? For Christians and for others seeking faith, some powerful answers to this question are expressed in the Apostles' Creed, a historic statement of foundational Christian faith. In this study, we will begin a conversation about what Christians believe, why they believe it, and why it matters.
Starting October 30, the women will be doing a 6-week study using the book The World Jesus Knew: Beliefs and Customs from the Time of Jesus by Anne Punton. What did Jesus wear? What foods might he have eaten? What religious customs and festivals did he observe? In The World Jesus Knew: Beliefs and Customs from the Time of Jesus, Anne Punton explores the everyday world of the central figure of the Christian faith. Punton does a fine job of discussing how "mundane" aspects of life (particularly agriculture) influenced Jesus' teachings.
The group will take a break for Christmas and decide if we want to continue with this book or do a different study in January (since this study will not finish the book).

The Men's Bible study group will start a new study on July 25th, Moses: In the Footsteps of the Reluctant Prophet by Adam Hamilton.
The men meet every Tuesday morning from 6:30 am to 7:30 am in room 14B. They enjoy great company and move through different Bible based books while munching on goodies and drinking coffee. The group is led by Bjorn Braun.
