Local Mission Opportunities

Wilson UMC would like to encourage everyone to participate in at least one mission opportunity every year. In addition to the international mission trips, there are a number of local opportunities.

Lord's Dinner Soup Kitchen Volunteers Needed

Karin Agee is working on filling Wilson Church's 2018 teams that serve at the soup kitchen on the 4th Sunday of each month. If you are interested in learning more about this ministry (which falls under the umbrella of Westside CARES), please contact Karin.

Meals on Wheels

Wilson volunteers also serve with Meals on Wheels.

"Help Wanted": We are in need of volunteer teams of two to deliver meals. Delivery time is approximately 10:45 to noon. We pick up the meals by meeting a Meals on Wheels van in the Westside Community Center East parking lot on the corner of N 16th Street and W Bijou Street between 10:30 and 10:45 am. Delivery of the meals takes about an hour depending on the number of stops. We are also in need of people who could substitute when needed. Please contact Mara Hagan ( marahagan@gmail.com ) if interested.

Westside CARES

Diaper Drive for Westside CARES During February

Every February we collect diapers for Westside CARES as they serve families in need on the west side of Colorado Springs. The diaper sizes they are currently in need of are sizes 1, 2, 5 and 6. They will be collected in the Narthex outside of the Sanctuary through this entire month. Thank you!
